Dear Participants of RO-MAN 2023,
We think it is more than safe to say that the conference was an immense success, setting a new record for RO-MAN history. A total of 737 participants, including 174 who joined online, honored us with their presence and presented 359 papers all together. Diverse sessions were carefully scheduled to accommodate this extensive number of papers, including 18 Workshop/Tutorials, 44 Regular Sessions, 12 Special Sessions, 1 Late Breaking Report Session with 50 posters, and Robot Design Competition with 11 finalists. Our deepest appreciation also goes out to 3 invited speakers who inspired countless minds with thought-provoking Keynote sessions, and to our 13 sponsors who have held exhibition booths to further richen the conference. We hope you had valuable experience in exploring pioneering ideas and sharing brilliant insights regarding our theme of “Design a New Bridge for H-R-I.”
We committed ourselves to not only provide a rich academic experience, but also a rich cultural experience. Social events and tours were held throughout every day of the conference, giving you exciting opportunities to not only socialize with fellow academics and engineers but also to feel the vibrancy of the dynamic costal city, Busan, for yourself.

Additionally, kindly note that the Proceedings can be downloaded at InfoVaya until September 30, and you can find the Certification of Participation at “My Page” after logging into our website.
The amount of success that we had couldn’t have been without your support, so once again, we would like to thank each and every one of you for your passion and dedication. We hope you had an unforgettable time with RO-MAN 2023 as much as we had with you.
The next IEEE International Conference on Robot & Human Interactive Communication will be held on August 26th to 30th, 2024 in Pasadena, Greater Los Angeles Area, California, United States. So hope to see you everyone again at RO-MAN 2024!
